    By 2030, the workforce will be short by 80 million worldwide. This hiring crisis is particularly crushing for America's small businesses because the unmet demand for workers is also contributing to an upward pressure on wages. Therefore, retaining top talent is more important than ever before and engaged employees are more involved and invested in their roles and are therefore less likely to leave their job. Unfortunately, however, only 36% of employees report being engaged.

    Also, reports show that employees who are invested in their roles are more productive than those who aren’t. According to a Gallup poll, engaged employees are 21% more productive than their less engaged counterparts.
